My services

Home birth
This service includes comprehensive care at your home from conception, birth, to 6 weeks postpartum. Ultrasounds and blood tests are provided as needed. This service also includes a second midwife, pool, TENS machine, birth sling, peanut ball, birth comb, and acupressure balls.

Feeding support (IBCLC)
Comprehensive feeding support in both pregnancy and postpartum. Bulk billed in pregnancy and prior to 6 weeks postpartum (in clinic only).

Low Level Laser Therapy
Great for healing wounds (including nipple damage). If eligible, will be bulk billed (clinic only).

Acu-Needling
Labour activation, breech, back pain and more. If eligible, will be bulk billed (clinic only).

About Me

I am registered as a Midwife with prescribing rights and am also an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). My goal is to provide holistic, family centred midwifery and lactation care. I have worked in both the private and public service, metropolitan and remote, in a variety of roles including: education, midwifery group practice, clinical, lactation consultanting and general midwifery.

I currently work as a medicare eligible Midwife offering homebirth and lactation services, and am deeply passionate about providing quality care. My aim is to have every woman and her family walk away from the care provided feeling supported, advocated, empowered and cared for. Offering this type of care is very special to me as I personally experienced the benefits of continuity of care and homebirth with my daughter.

I am a mother, wife, follower of Christ, and friend. I love creating things, building strong relationships with people, gardening, crafting, challenging myself, and reading obscure studies and quirky research.

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes - payment plans must be approved on the first visit, with everything paid prior to 37 weeks of pregnancy. If you book in after 37 weeks of pregnancy, then payment in full is required.

  • There is a large amount of research demonstrating the safety of home birth. Midwives offering home birth carry emergency equipment and have extra training. There are always two midwives at a homebirth to keep both mother and baby safe. Contact me and we can have a chat about the safety of homebirth for your specific pregnancy and birth.

  • Pain relief options at home include water birth, shower, TENS machine, massage, heat and movement. If you are wanting nitrous oxide I can provide this, however this incurs an extra cost.

  • There is the option to transfer into hospital if it is medically indicated or if you choose to transfer. If this happens, I will come with you as a support person.

  • Definitely. I also provide the pool.

  • The homebirth package includes 24/7 on-call support with Lucy for urgent questions, labour, and birth. For non-urgent questions, send Lucy a text.
